SecondService is a database of marketing, PR and branding agencies that serve restaurants and hospitality groups across the US.

It exists to make one question answerable in plain language: who actually markets restaurants like mine, and how do I reach them?

What is SecondService?

SecondService is a free, searchable directory of marketing, PR and branding agencies that work with restaurants, bars, cafes and hotels across the US. Each record shows what the agency does, where it is based, the kinds of hospitality business it serves, the sizes of client it has worked with, and the hospitality clients it has named. You can search it in plain language, for example “PR firms in Miami for hotel groups”, or browse the full list.

How do I find a marketing agency for my restaurant?

Start with three questions. What work do you need: PR, branding, social, digital or full service? Where are you? What kind of place do you run: fine dining, fast casual, a bar, a hotel or a multi-unit group? Type the answers into the search as one sentence. SecondService ranks agencies by how well they match, then by how many named clients they have of the kind you asked about. Then read the client list on each record. An agency that has already worked with places like yours is usually the best place to start.

What is the difference between a restaurant PR firm and a full-service agency?

A PR firm earns coverage: press, reviews, opening buzz, chef profiles and awards. A full-service agency handles the wider marketing mix, usually branding, social media, paid ads, websites and email, and often PR as well. A branding studio focuses on the name, identity and design, often before a restaurant opens. SecondService lists all three, and you can search by the work you need, for example “PR firm” or “branding studio”.

Which cities have the most restaurant marketing agencies?

New York has the most, followed by Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami and San Francisco. Some agencies work nationally rather than from one city. The metro filter lists them as National.

Do these agencies work with independent restaurants?

Many do. Each record shows the sizes of client an agency has worked with (independents, groups or chains), counted from the clients it has named, so you can see whether it has worked with places like yours. Search for “independent restaurants” to see only the agencies that have named independents as clients.

How were the agencies chosen?

Records were built by reading each agency’s own website, then by searching metro by metro and segment by segment, and by reading industry directories and the trade, food, hotel and advertising press. An agency is included only if it shows real hospitality work: at least three named hospitality clients, or a stated hospitality focus and at least one named client. Agencies that had closed, showed no restaurant or hotel work, or could not be verified were removed. Agencies that only tag themselves “hospitality” on a general directory were left out.

Where do the client lists come from?

Clients come from pages that name both the agency and the client. That page may be the agency’s case studies, its social accounts, press coverage or an industry directory, and each client links straight to that page wherever it was found. Most agency sites do not say whether a client is current, so a listed client may be a past one.

How do I contact an agency?

Where an agency publishes an email address or phone number, it appears on its record. The rest take enquiries only through a form on their own website, and their record says so.

Who built SecondService?

SecondService is built by Loyalist, which builds guest intelligence for restaurant and hospitality groups. It is free to use, and no agency pays to be listed or ranked.

Can I add or correct an agency?

Yes. Email albert@loyalist.com with the agency’s name and website, and a link to a page that names its hospitality clients. Corrections to an existing record are welcome too.
